I have never seen her back down from someone and show a lack of caring about her work. I have always seen her show people with respect and caring. If there was ever someone I wanted to work with it was her.

I feel greatly honored to recommend an outstanding, meticulous, and conscientious editor, Angela Mai to you. Angel made my dissertation journey more fulfilling and rewarding through her love for hard work, and attention to detail. Angela was not only my editor, but she guided me through the rough terrain of scholarly writing, meticulous methodology approaches, and attendant anxiety. Angela’s compassion, composure, and love for research made her a culturally responsive editor and made me a better writer and researcher. Her passion for social justice cuts across race and social boundaries. Angela did not only spur my writing journey but did it with a kind and loving heart even celebrated my success with some cashback. I highly recommend Angela to any research position because her students will be well served.

As peers, I found Angela to be a team player, extremely dedicated to her team and to the Leadership team.  She was able to look at situations and find different ways to approach coaching that addressed the needs of each individual on her team. She was always willing to share ideas and help any team member to the best of her ability.

Angela put together several online tools to help [facilitators] and was an asset to the Leadership team.  Her ability to bring technology to the aide of all was very impressive.  Her concern for every member of the team was also apparent in her everyday work habits and her unlimited patience in helping all of us understand how the database worked.

-Kathleen (Kat) Washburn

She was one of my brightest stars, encouraging and leading her teams to perform their best in an ever-changing and stressful environment. Angela's teams continually excelled under her inspirational and motivating leadership.

Angela was also an efficient and productive teacher and communicator with both her teams and peers. Angela always handled coaching, disciplinary actions, and documentation with a high degree of integrity, insight, and compassion.  She was also quick to catch on to new developments, analyze situations, and never hesitated to make the needed judgment call.

Angela’s high quality and attention to detail far exceed any student I have worked with. Her Dissertation, “Hiring Agents’ Beliefs Influencing their Selection of Qualified Autistic Candidates,” was outstanding and I nominated it for Walden’s 2018 Outstanding Dissertation of the Year Award. I can be quite critical and do not make such a nomination lightly. The recommendation was enthusiastically supported by Dr. Steven Matarelli, who served as Angela’s URR through her dissertation process. In fact, Angela’s is the only Dissertation I have encountered worthy of such an award.

Her desire to positively impact public policy and improve humanitarian conditions are reflected in her work, in her experience, and her interactions with her peers. She is unequivocally the best student I have ever worked within the 10 years I have taught at Walden.

Angela is an advocacy consultant, managerial trainer, and volunteer strategist for a number of organizations involved in support for adult learners, disabled individuals,  as well as individuals with autism and Asperger syndrome. Angela is always eager to help others and frequently mentors peers in various coursework and Capstone projects. I have used her work as an example and a guide to other students in my courses. Often, I watched as other students’ work improved tenfold after seeking Angela’s feedback or assistance in understanding a process or concept.  Angela is a natural advocate for positive social change and an inspiring leader who can compassionately communicate and teach others regardless of cultural differences. Angela excels in a virtual environment.
